My other half (a prodigious reader) hasn’t turned a paper page since I gave him an iPad over a year ago. I can absolutely see the convenience, I can understand the appeal…but I’m just not there yet. I don’t know if I ever will be. I just like everything to do with actual books.
A couple of months ago I dropped a library book in the bath while reading it. I had to pay the local library $35 to replace it, which stung a little.
But oooh, imagine if I’d drowned the iPad ;-)
