‘THEY are unlikely friends, but orphaned animals Anzac the joey and Peggy the wombat, have become best mates. At just over five months old, Anzac was brought to the Wild about Wildlife Kilmore Rescue Centre after he was rescued in the Macedon Ranges.
The unlikely friends share a pouch and are comforted by each other’s movement and heartbeat.’
