Yahoo buys Tumblr, promises to not ‘screw it up’

Yahoo said that Tumblr will be independently operated as a separate business with Karp staying on as CEO.

“Our team isn’t changing. Our roadmap isn’t changing,” said Karp in a statement. “Tumblr gets better faster with more resources to draw from.”

I’ve been teaching various animation apps for the past few weeks, and was using some examples I’d made myself, mainly to demonstrate to the kids how it was done - and how much better than me they could easily be…

I also showed them various videos to encourage their imaginations and get them enthused. None of them had the absolute WOW factor of this one, and coupled with the awesome soundtrack, it really held the attention of every kid who saw it. I wish I’d taken some shots of the rapt amazement on their faces and recorded their excited comments and questions. I love it when that happens :)
